Darry is a character in the book "The Outsiders" by; S.E Hinton, and plays the role of a greaser, and an older brother of two who lost his parents and had to basically stop his life to take the spot of a parent to raise his little brothers. Darry was an amazing student, athlete , and had many friends, but after his parents passed away he had to dropout of high school, quit his sports, and forget about his friends, all just to take the place of his parents. Darry took on many responsibilities such as getting a job, and had to suffer through a lot of funny looks, and judgment from other people. Lots of people would look at Darry funny for dropping out of everything, but little did they know the terrible story behind it. Now Darry is just trying to get by day by day while trying to keep his brothers out of trouble.
